Born in Thessaloniki, Greece. Holds a BSc/Dip.Ing in Mechanical Engineering, Greece (1994), a MSc in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, USA (1996), a PhD in Mechanical & Chemical Engineering, U.K. (2001) and an MBA, Greece (2007). Previously a Research Professor in various well-known Universities/Research Institutions in Europe and USA. Recipient of national (IKY, Greece), international (Marie Curie, EU) awards with more than 194 articles in international journals and conferences under peer-reviewed. Has been a researcher at DU (Spain), MIT (USA), IST/UTL (Portugal), CNR (Italy), GUT (Poland), etc and visiting professor at AIT (AT), CERTH/ITI-HIT (GR) with a research and industrial experience (24 years) that includes 42 research projects (12.5. ME) funded by regional, national and international governmental, public and private organizations.
